Glintt Global acquires Prólogica, a São João da Madeira-based company, to strengthen healthcare data capabilities

The tech consultancy has acquired 100% of the share capital of Prológica Sistemas Informáticos S.A., a company with 41 years of experience dedicated to hospital management technology and clinical data processing.

Portuguese technology consultancy Glintt Global has once again made an acquisition in Portugal, this time to strengthen its healthcare data division, by acquiring 100% of the share capital of Prológica Sistemas Informáticos S.A.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed, but it will expand the company’s portfolio of clinical data processing software solutions.

Prológica, headquartered in São João da Madeira, has an annual turnover of around 600 thousand euros from the sale of digital solutions for the healthcare sector. These include platforms that support hospital and administrative management as well as structured clinical records.
With this transaction, Prológica becomes part of Glintt Life Hospitals – Glintt’s business unit dedicated to healthcare – consolidating its expertise and offering for healthcare professionals and hospital managers.

“The acquisition of Prológica is a natural step in our growth strategy, strengthening our ability to lead the digital transformation in the healthcare sector. We are confident that this union will allow us to better respond to our clients’ needs, promoting greater efficiency, accessibility, and quality in services provided to citizens,” said Luís Cocco, CEO of Glintt Global.

The board member in charge of Glintt Life’s hospital division believes the deal “will significantly accelerate our data intelligence strategy in the hospital sector.”
“With the integration of Prológica’s analytical and clinical solutions, our Mozy platform becomes even more robust and comprehensive across various functional areas, adding greater value for our clients in Portugal, Spain, and other markets,” stated Eduardo Antunes, in a press release.

In 2021, Glintt Global – then still operating under the name Glintt – acquired the Spanish company FarmaTools, a market where it had already established a joint venture in 2019 with pharmaceutical distributor Cofares.
Between 2017 and 2018, it paid 5.3 million euros to Multipessoal to acquire a majority (51%) stake in Netpeople, and also fully acquired two SMEs, Qwerty Informática and Qwerty Farma, for around 750 thousand euros.

“Over the coming months, Prológica will be gradually integrated into Glintt Global’s structure, maintaining its commitment to continuous service and support for its clients, while preserving the company’s legacy of excellence,” the company stated.
Glintt Global is listed on Euronext. As of September 2024, the multinational headquartered in Quinta da Beloura reported profits of 3.6 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 42.5%.
